Our "Bonnie Blue" bunting is custom dyed in the USA. Research seams to show that most of the Hardee Corps flags were not dark blue originally. This coupled with Hardee flags being referred to as "Bonnie Blue" and knowing that the original "Bonnie Blue" flag of Scotland was not navy or dark blue helped lead us to establish this lighter brighter shade of blue. We have developed this color to copy the color of a bright blue dye used during the 19th century that fades to the dirty pea green color of some surviving Hardee flags. Our modern dyed version of this color will not fade to the dirty pea green color but represents the color of these flags before it fades.
This bunting would be good for certain issues of Hardee flags, confederate Bonnie Blue flags and even national flags of Scotland.
